SBP to Issue Special Rs. 75 Coin Across Pakistan in May 2026

Pakistan is set to celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations with Pakistan and China in a historic way, as the government has decided to issue a special Rs.75 commemorative coin marking the milestone.
As per official information, the commemorative coin will be available to the general public on 25/05/2026 via exchange counters of field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation.
The release comes as diplomatic relations between the two nations are officially established on 21 May 1951, marking a long-term strategic, economic and political alliance, frequently termed as “all-weather friends.”
Rs. 75 Coin Design and Specifications
The commemorative coin will be round in shape with milled serrated edges and will feature the following specifications:
- Metal Composition: Copper-Nickel (75% Copper, 25% Nickel)
- Diameter: 36.0 mm
- Weight: 19.0 grams
- Denomination: Rs.75
Obverse Side Design
The front side of the coin will feature:
- A waxing crescent moon and five-pointed star facing northwest
- The inscription “ISLAMI JAMHURIA PAKISTAN” in Urdu script along the upper periphery
- The year of issuance 2026 below the crescent
- The numeral “75” and the word “RUPIA” in Urdu script on either side
- Two wheat sprigs symbolizing prosperity
Reverse Side Design
The reverse side of the coin highlights Pakistan–China friendship with symbolic artwork:
- Inscription: “75TH ANNIVERSARY OF PAKISTAN AND CHINA DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS”
- Motto: “TRUST FRIENDSHIP SUPPORT”
- Center design: National flags of Pakistan and China
- Artistic numeral “75” with years “1951” and “2026” on both sides
- Urdu and Chinese inscriptions emphasizing 75 years of diplomatic relations and shared values of trust, friendship, and cooperation
